Art is my emotional response to the world around me. It is a fusion of my interpretation of the subject and the exploration of the art medium. I want to release the spirit or emotion, the essence, of the subject through my personal interpretation. I always love the journey that is called art.
I enjoy the vibrancy of water media painting. I have been working with layers of acrylic paint to create depth and transparency in my work. I scratch into the paint, layer, lift off, and paint again. I like to charge in color to excite the eye and use marks and textures to connect the painting. I am intrigued by ancient symbols and myths.
Eulalie’s experiences include studying art at Parson’s School of Design in New York. She received her BA in Art Education from C.W. Post College on Long Island. She holds an MA in Special Education from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She currently lives in Colorado Springs where she works as a painter, digital artist, website designer, and teacher.
